ODESSA -- A crash in northern Ector County has killed 3 children.

A Seminole School spokesperson confirmed Alaina Elvita Belis, 4; Jamie Marie Belis, 11; and Ruben Julius Belis, 8; all of Seminole, were pronounced dead at the scene around 6 p.m.

Four adults and one other child were also in the 2005 Dodge Caravan with the 3 children. All were taken to Medical Center Hospital.

MCH tells Big2  Linda Mraiza, 62, is in serious condition, Joe Araiza, 62 is in serious condition; Madonna Belis, 26, is in critical condition and Carlos Osvaldo Amaton, 29, is in serious condition.

We're also told the 6-year-old boy has been taken to Lubbock, and is doing better.

The crash happened on U.S. 385 near North Loop 338 north of Odessa around 5:30 PM Tuesday.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers say a minivan carrying the 8 passengers slowed down to make a U-turn on U.S. 385 -- in order to deliver a spare tire to another vehicle.

A pickup truck driven by Nicole Sheesley of Gardendale rear-ended the minivan, tearing off the back of the van. Sheesley was not injured.

Troopers haven't said if any citations were issued.
