MIDLAND -- It's no secret that a lack of affordable housing is currently a major issue in the Permian Basin.

Now, one company is taking major steps to fix that problem.

Lubbock Invest is preparing to build the Stone Bridge Estates complex along Fairgrounds Road in east Midland.

The company expects to open Stone Bridge Estates in February 2013, but they're already pre-leasing lots.

The gated community will have 185 lots for high-end, 2012 mobile homes.

The community will have security, common areas, barbeque grills, areas for sports and games.

However, residents will only pay about $1,200 to $1,500 a month for a 3 to 4 bedroom home.

For more information, and to get signed up for pre-leasing, click here.
