BIG SPRING -- Police continue to investigate an act of vandalism at the Vietnam War Memorial in Big Spring.

Big Spring Police say vandals broke out a window on a helicopter at the Vietnam War Memorial display over the weekend -- causing $2,000 in damage.

The vandals then stole a mannequin and a clock -- worth a combined $7,000 -- from the helicopter.

The thieves also got away with items from the fallen soldier display case -- including a web belt and canteen from World War II.

Big Spring Police are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandals.

Anyone with information on the incident should call Big Spring Crimestoppers at (432) 264-TIPS (8477).
