MIDLAND -- The Midland Bulldogs are coming off a dominating performance in week zero, where they shrugged off El Paso Coronado with a 38-14 win.

Quarterback Conner Beck put any doubt in his skill to rest on Friday night. The senior led the Dawgs on scoring drives on six of Midland's first seven possessions. Beck finished the game going 10 of 13, passing for 218 yards.

Midland's offense also had plenty of help from the MHS defense, which forced three turnovers in the first half alone.

This is good momentum to have when you're preparing to face defending state champion Southlake Carroll, which MHS will do on Friday night.
