Texas Tech moves to 2-0 after beating Texas State, 58-10.

Seth Doege tied a career high with five touchdowns. He completed 25 of 32 passes for 319 yards.

But, it was the defense that set the tempo for the game when Cody Davis picked off Texas State's quarterback Shaun Rutherford and took it back 70 yards for the first Red Raider touchdown. Throughout the game the Tech defense allowed only one touchdown from the Bobcats.

The Red Raider offense was in full force Saturday. Seth Doege found 12 players through the air, but Javon Bell lead Tech with 81 yards on five catches and one touchdown.

The Red Raiders will return home to host New Mexico University on September 15th at 6:00 p.m.
