New York To Vote On Soda Ban

Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to limit the size of sugary drinks to 16 ounces or less in places like restaurants and movie theaters.
He cites a link between sugar and obesity.
If it passes, the ban will be put into effect in March of next year.
Soft drink groups say they plan to file for an injunction before the law is active.
New York is often a leader with health related bans, it was the first American city to outlaw trans-fats in foods and smoking in bars or restaurants.
