MIDLAND -- An Odessa man has pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges.

Timothy Scott Young, Jr. pleaded guilty to federal distribution of child pornography charges on September 18th.

Young, 24, kept 6,041 child porn images and 27 videos of child porn on a computer at his Odessa home.

Several images featured adult men having sex with children -- both boys and girls -- between the ages of 3 and 12.

Young used a peer-to-peer network to send the pornographic out to other users.

An undercover F.B.I. agent in Phoenix, AZ downloaded 18 of the files from Young's computer on November 17, 2010.

Agents then used a federal search warrant to seize two computers and a number of digital storage devices from Young's home on June 14, 2011.

Agents reportedly found the pornographic images on the seized devices.

Now, Young faces 5 to 20 years in federal prison, followed by at least 5 years of supervised release.

Young could also face a fine of up to $250,000.

No sentencing date has been set for Young.
