Consumer Reports says it found significant and worrisome levels of arsenic in nearly every rice product tested.

A study found rice eaters had 44% more arsenic in their bodies compared to those who don't eat rice.

The arsenic found was the inorganic kind, meaning it does not occur naturally and can be found in some pesticides.

In high doses, it's been linked to cancer, heart disease and other illnesses.

The FDA says it plans to collect its own samples and make a recommendation on arsenic levels by the end of the year.

The rice industry says the concerns are overblown.
