The White-Pool House is a Texas historic landmark, an archeological landmark, and on the National Register of Historical places. Unfortunately, some people don't even know it's sitting right in their backyard.
The museum has been hit with funding issues and are now it's bringing in Jeff Cook of 'Alabama' to help raise money to save the piece of history. In addition to the concert, there will be a silent and live auction to raise money.
"When you know your history, you're prepared for your future" says White-Pool House Co-Chairman, Christine Holcomb, "I don't want to leave our history to be told by Hollywood. It's important that we tell our own history."
The White-Pool House provides free tours Wednesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. -3 p.m., and is open to the public.
Holcomb urges everyone to come out and support a great cause while helping to preserve its West Texas history.
"We are proud to be from West Texas. This is our history, this is our roots, they run extremely deep. Take care of your history" says Holcomb.
