ODESSA -- The Abilene High Eagles gave the Panthers a few opportunities to stay in the game, but Permian didn't respond.

It was a quick start for Abilene quarterback Evin Abbe, who led the Eagles to a 23-0 lead by the second quarter.

The Panthers defense would eventually step up. They forced two Abilene turnovers, but the Mojo offense was unable to turn those takeaways into points.

Abilene ended up taking care of Permian easily with a 44-14 final.
