ODESSA -- Ector County I.S.D. has closed enrollment at another elementary campus because they can't take on any more students.

Barbara Jordan Elementary -- which now has 945 students -- has been closed off to future enrollment.

Now students that move into the neighborhood near Jordan Elementary will be assigned to Ireland Elementary, which is the nearest campus still taking students.

E.C.I.S.D. has already shut down Murry Fly Elementary and Cavazos Elementary because they can't fit more students.

E.C.I.S.D. has a $129,750,000 million bond proposal on the November ballot to build more elementary schools -- in order to hopefully avoid situations like this in the future.
