White House Turns Pink

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The White House has changed its hue for cancer research.
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is being lit up in pink to spotlight breast cancer awareness.
Monday, President Obama marked the start of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The president encouraged Americans to join in activities dedicated to raising awareness of the disease.
Last year alone, the American Cancer Society estimated that over 230,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer.
