Odessa Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Ex-Girlfirend

ODESSA -- An Odessa man is accused of violently sexually assaulting a woman.
Joe Alvarez, Jr. was arrested on September 12th.
Odessa Police say that Alvarez, 40, dragged a woman out of a vehicle by her hair on July 28th and forced her into another vehicle.
Alvarez then reportedly forced the victim into another vehicle, took her to his home and sexually assaulted her against her will.
The victim and Alvarez had reportedly been in a relationship for 5 years, but police say she left him two weeks before the assault.
Now, Alvarez is charged with felony sexual assault.
As of Tuesday evening, Alvarez was not listed in jail records in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
