It was a mild day today, with temperatures approaching the averages.

If you were a fan of that, unfortunately those are going to be replaced by temperatures in the 40's and 50's.

A cold front will be passing through the area in the overnight hours, and morning lows will be bitterly cold, in the mid to upper 40's.

Daily highs will vary across the Permian Basin, the cold front will have moved through the northern basin, and highs will be in the 40's and 50's.

The front will take a bit longer to make it through the Trans-Pecos, however and areas down south could still see highs in the 70's and 80's.

Along the front, we could see winds gusting as high as 25 mph, with gusts in the Guadalupe Pass reaching the 40 mph range.

Winds will die down for Sunday, but temps will stay in the mid-50's.

After high pressure settles in Monday, temps will return to close to normal levels in the 70's.

We heat up into the low 80's by midweek.
