MIDLAND -- October 15, 2012 is the National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance day. This will be our 4th annual event, where the Memorial Walk for Babies will offer a time of remembrance, celebration, and fellowship for the many affected by pregnancy and infant loss in our community. The event will also host a live butterfly release in remembrance our babies.

The Memorial Walk for Babies organization helps families and friends all across West Texas, including attendees from Pecos, Ft Stockton, Lubbock, Big Spring, Seminole, Etc. With the help of donations from the community, the organization provides memorial boxes to area hospitals to be given to families experiencing a loss.  These boxes contain baby items such as blankets, stuffed animals, hand/foot print cards, and other items the family can use and keep.  For a list of items needed please visit www.memorialwalkforbabies.com

Memorial Walk for Babies also donates a portion of our funds to First Candle, a national nonprofit health organization uniting parents, caregivers and researchers nationwide with government, business and community service groups to advance infant health and survival. http://www.firstcandle.org/.
