KERMIT -- A possible homicide is under investigation in Kermit.

Kermit Police tell Big 2 that the body of a 70-year-old man was found in Winkler County on the afternoon of October 7th.

Police haven't told Big 2 where the man's body was found, since that information is reportedly classified.

The man's body has been sent to Lubbock for an autopsy, as police work to determine the cause of death.

Texas Rangers are also helping police with the investigation.

Police say that while nothing has been determined as of yet, the incident is being treated like a possible homicide.
