West Texas Talent Search Winner Announced

ODESSA -- Odessa Native Josh Allbright was announced as the winner of the 2012 West Texas Talent Search!

Josh Allbright was born and raised in Odessa TX. Growing up learning to play guitar beside his great grandfather.Josh has played the guitar for nearly 15years playing a wide range from bluegrass,country,rock and blues. He currently has several songs he has written and co-written. Not only does he play the guitar, sing his own songs, but he also plays the harmonica and the drums.

The West Texas Talent Search was created in 2009 by Daniel R. Ryan III. It was followed by the creation of the West Texas Talent Association in 2010 with the help of Angela Williamson. In  2010 the West Texas Talent Association made a studio CD, performed at three CHL Odessa Jackalopes games, staged the West Texas Talent Showcase, performed for the ECISD retired teachers association, and ended 2010 by counting down the New Year at the Midland Center's Family New Year's Eve Celebration sponsored by PADP. 2011 was highlighted with Daniel Ryan continuing his support of local artist by creating the Music, Mayhem, and Madness shows. Now in 2012 The West Texas Talent Association is producing a new YouTube news magazine "Odessa After Dark.
