Midland Chamber Of Commerce Supports Midland I.S.D. Bond Proposal

MIDLAND -- Midland I.S.D. continues to get some high profile support for their $163,110,000 bond proposal.
The Midland Chamber of Commerce officially issued a resolution on Thursday, which supports the $163 million bond and the changes it would bring.
The Midland Chamber of Commerce says that the Tall City is going through economic good times, and the area has the money to fund the improvements the bond is calling for.
Members of the Midland Chamber of Commerce also say that the improvements the bond would pay for are critical, since they will help the district grow with the Midland population.
"I think what you're going to see in the coming days is more large businesses supporting our efforts to get this bond through," Paul Cain of InWest Retirement Solutions told Big 2.
If passed, the M.I.S.D. Bond would build 3 new elementary schools and renovate existing schools.
However, the bond would also bring new technology to all elementary campuses -- in order to handle the ongoing growth of the district.
Registered Republicans and Democrats who vote along party lines must still vote separately for or against the M.I.S.D. bond.
