The first presidential debate was an upset with challenger Mitt Romney beating President Barack Obama. The win lent extra significance to Thursday night's debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan.

The sometimes contentious debate put a strong focus on foreign policy, starting right off with a discussion over the terrorist attack in Libya. They also discussed the ongoing violence in Syria, withdrawal plans from Afghanistan, as well as domestic issues such as tax cuts and social security.

Both Biden and Ryan were geared up for the debate and pundits will make the call as who they think did a better job of getting their message out.
