ODESSA---  With the Permian Basin International Oil Show coming to Odessa, restaurants around the Ector County Coliseum are getting ready for increased traffic.

"I'm not gonna run out of anything" says Denny's General Manager, Christina Lawson.

Lawson experienced the last oil show 2 years ago and says that she knows what she's in for.

"I've hired extra staff, ordered some extra groceries and to-go products" says Lawson, knowing that people from the show will be walking across the street to her location for food and drinks.

Lawson says that she expects a 10 percent increase in sales for the week of the oil show.

Lawson hired 4 new cooks and 6 new servers in preparation for the high traffic she's expecting to see.

Other restaurants in the area like Steak Express, Long John Silver's, McDonald's and Taco Villa also say that they have made extra preparations for the thousands of people visiting Ector County.
