Hillary Clinton may be trying to douse the political firestorm brewing over the deadly attack at the US consulate in Libya.

The Secretary of State says when it comes to protecting American diplomats overseas the buck stops with her.

The Obama Administration has come under increasing criticism over the September 11th attack at the American Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

Clinton says it's not surprising that it has taken time to sort out all the details.

Clinton continues with the presidential election just a few weeks away, she does not wan the Benghazi incident to become "some kind of political gotcha or blame game."
