MIDLAND -- This week, the Rebels will have to quickly forget about a tough loss to Abilene High, as they prepare for a crosstown showdown with Midland High.

The Rebels had a 17-14 lead over the Eagles going into halftime, but in the second half, Abilene went on a 17-0 run, to get the win, and probably clinch the district crown.

Despite the loss, the Rebels are tied for second place in 2-5A with a 4-1 record.
