Tell me about Target Logistics.

We do remote workforce lodging. We are the nation's largest provider of remote workforce lodging. We're here because there are some remote areas that need some lodging because of the oil boom here in the Permian Basin. We also do mining--disasters. Anyplace that you need to bring a workforce, treat them really well and give them a roof over their head, a bed to sleep in, some great food to eat. Security. Recreation.  We build these lodges and they range anywhere from 90 guys--our largest is 1,250.

We have a lot in the Bakken Shale Formation up in the North Dakota area and now we're just getting our start here in the Permian Basin area with a lodge going in at Pecos, Texas which starts out at 90 and will expand to 200. On November 15th we open with 90 rooms and we are also breaking ground in a couple of months in Odessa , right here in Odessa, in the Leeco Industrial Park.

There's obviously going to be a lot of competition here, we have such a housing crisis. What makes Target Logistics different from your competitors?

We certainly like to think we're the best. We actually know we're the best!  We focus on great food, really unbelievable food. Hand cut French fries. Hand cut steaks.  You would not have a problem going there for dinner tonight, you'd say "Wow, this food is great!" It's like going out to dinner every night. So you have food 24-7, great breakfast, great lunch.  Then we have a really great bed system, called the hibernator sleep system. It's 250 thread count sheets, down lite comforter, pillow top mattress, captain's drawers underneath for your clothes, a very nice pillow. It's just a great night's sleep.

We realize these guys need to eat well, they need to sleep well, and then of course you have security. All of our facilities have top notch security so everybody feels secure. Obviously you have to lock your door. It's zero tolerance so there's no alcohol, no cohabitation, and there's no guests. It sounds a little strict but when it comes to the workforce you want your guys focusing on what they have to do the next day.

Then we have great recreation: great workout facilities, great rec room, large screen TV to watch the football game. We have a place called the Spike lounge which is a bit different from our dining room. It's more of a fast-food place, kind of a 50's theme. Chicken Wings, bratwursts, hot dogs, hamburgers, large screen TV's, relaxed couches, cool furniture.  We try to make this workforce as comfortable as possible so they can perform for our clients.

What is your goal at the show this week?

Meet as many folks as we can here. We're here. When we go in, we might build for 200 guys, but we build the kitchen and the dining room and the workout facilities for 800 knowing that we want to expand these systems. So we hope to be expanding this facility as we go. In the background we have a live feed of the Pecos Texas lodge being built right now. We sign a contract for another 100 guys in the next week, well now we're going to be adding another 100 rooms to it because the common facilities can handle 450 at that lodge.
