Mistrial Declared In Odessa Sexual Assault Of A Child Trial

ODESSA -- A mistrial ha been declared in an Odessa sexual assault trial.

    A mistrial was declared in the 161st District Court for the trial against Walter Ray Webb on October 17th.

    The mistrial was reportedly declared because a juror knew one of the witnesses.

    Webb, 49, was arrested on September 17th, after he was indicted for 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and sexual performance by a child younger than 14 years old.

    The Ector County District Attorney's Office tells Big 2 that a new trial for Webb is slated for November 26th.
