A freeze warning is in effect for parts of Andrews, Gaines, Dawson, Martin, Howard Borden, Eddy and Lea Counties; as well as the Davis and Guadalupe Mountains until 9am Saturday morning.

This means temperatures will be between 28 and 30 degrees for a minimum of 3 hours in the overnight.

Sensitive plants will die under these conditions, and animals can be negatively affected, so bring plants and pets indoors tonight.

After that, we should see mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper-50's Saturday afternoon.

A warming trend takes over as we enter the work week with temperatures topping out in the 70's until Thursday when we may top 80 degrees in some areas again.
