ODESSA -- It was a win or go home situation for the Permian Panthers on Friday night.

As it turns out, the Panthers are not ready to go home.

Permian stunned Midland Lee on Friday night with a 28-21 come from behind win over the Rebels. With that victory, the Panthers' playoff hopes are very much alive.

"We've gotta win. We've gotta beat Coronado," said head coach Gary Gaines. "If Midland beats Abilene High, we're out of it. If Abilene wins, then we're in. So, that is kind of the way it is right there. Depending on what seed we're in in the big school division, would determine who plays who in El Paso."

The Panthers face Lubbock Coronado at Lowery Field in Lubbock on Thursday. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
