PECOS -- Pecos Police continue to investigate the death of a woman found lying in a street.

Pecos Police Chief Clay McKinney tells Big 2 that officers found a Delma Lozoya lying in the road near Eddy Street and Jackson Street around 1 AM on November 4th.

Lozoya, 51, was airlifted to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

McKinney says that Lozoya died at M.C.H. on the afternoon of November 5th.

Police don't know what the cause of Lozoya's death is, but they say an autopsy is scheduled for November 8th.

Police say they're investigating the case as a murder, although that has not been ruled as the official cause of death.

McKinney says police have a person-of-interest, but no charges have been filed.
