Permian High School Wide Receivers Coach Jerale Badon has been ordered to stay away from the team after a coworker filed a complaint with the district.
Coach Badon went to work Thursday, as normal, but he was immediately sent home after a complaint was filed against him.
ECISD officials confirmed that this Administrative Leave isn't a punishment, but instead it's standard procedure as they investigate the complaint.
During the Administrative Leave, Coach Badon is not allowed to be on campus, or perform his duties as coach.
Coach Badon missed the game against Lubbock Coronado Thursday night, and his status with the team heading into the playoffs depends on the results of the investigation.
Badon is a coach as well as a teacher in the Special Education Department.
He was hired in 2011 after a stint as a teacher at San Angelo Lake View.
Prior to that he was a receiver at Abilene Christian University under Head Coach Gary Gaines.
Permian High School could make the playoffs with a loss by Midland High against Abilene High Friday night.
