Carlsbad Police say that a woman was spotted swinging nunchucks out the window of a yellow Ford Mustang as she drove down the street near the intersection of 6th Street and Church street around 6:15 PM on November 7th.
Officers reportedly tried to pull the Mustang over, but they say the woman refused to stop, leading them on a slow speed pursuit through residential neighborhoods instead.
Officers say the Mustang stopped momentarily at the intersection of 8th Street and Pierce Street (U.S. 285), but the woman reportedly turned onto Artesia Highway (U.S. 285) and drove off at speeds more than 65 mph.
Officers eventually used spike strips to stop the Mustang near the intersection of U.S. 285 and the Carlsbad Truck Bypass.
The woman -- whose name hasn't been released -- reportedly resisted arrest before officers were able to take her into custody.
Police say charges are pending for the incident.
