ODESSA -- Odessa police are investigating a murder that happened outside a hotel.

29-year old John Munroy was found dead in the MCM Elegante hotel parking lot shortly after 1:00 am Sunday morning. Officials say, Munroy died instantly from a single gunshot wound to the head.

No suspects have been named.

This comes a little over a month after a different shooting in the same parking lot that injured Curtis Johnson.

Police later charged Willie Earl Solomon III from Waco with that crime. Solomon described that crime as an accident.
