Senator Charles Schumer of New York says he and Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina are set to officially restart talks.
They crumbled two years ago.
Schumer told Meet the Press, they have a plan that will appeal to all sides of the issue and he thinks it can get passed.
The bipartisan plan has four key elements, including stronger border security, and a tough love path to citizenship for those already here.
Schumer says that path would require applicants to learn English and have a job.
They would also have to wait in line behind applicants who went through the process legally.
Schumer hasn't said what the timeline for the talks will be.
