AUSTIN -- A petition asking that Texas secede from the United States of America continues to garner interest.

The We The People petition on the White House's website was created by an Arlington resident on November 9th.

The number of signatures for the petition has tripled since November 12th, and as of Tuesday night, totals more than 92,000 signatures.

Since the petition has more than 25,000 signatures, it has to be reviewed by the Obama Administration.

The Texas Nationalist Movement has been calling for a free Texas since 1994.

"Well, it's obviously feasible for Texas to stand on it's own," Texas Nationalist Movement President Daniel Miller told Big 2. "I mean, let's face it: we have one of the largest economies, one of the strongest economies in the world. We have unlimited amount of resources and we've got, ya know we've got the will to make it happen. You know, it's often said that if you want to see something get done, just tell a Texan that it can't be done."

The Texas Nationalist Movement says Texas is not the only state that reserves the right to secede.

Any state can do secede -- as long as the movement is peaceful, a referendum is conducted and the resulting government is a Republic-style government.
