MARTIN COUNTY -- Two Martin County oilfield workers are accused of stealing oilfield equipment and causing the shutdown of a pulling unit.

Joe Pacheco and Juan Garcia are charged with theft of oilfield supplies.

Martin County Sheriff's deputies tell Big 2 that Pacheco, 30, and Garcia, 27, stole a derrick belt and some small items from an oilfield work site that was located near the rigs they were working on.

A Lucky's Well Service pulling unit had to be shut down for 2 hours after the derrick belt was stolen.

Deputies reportedly found the men with the stolen items and arrested them along F.M. 846.
