Ector County Commissioners Deny Refund To White-Pool House For Fundraiser

ODESSA -- Ector County commissioners have denied the custodians of Odessa's oldest house a refund for a recent fundraiser.

The White-Pool House was trying to get a refund from Ector County, after a concert they held at the Ector County Coliseum didn't go as well as they were expecting it to.

The White-Pool House brought Jeff Cook of Alabama to the Ector County Coliseum for a concert on September 22nd.

The concert was meant as major fundraiser for the museum, after White-Pool House custodians said they were in dire need of funding to stay open.

However, the fundraiser didn't go as well as expected -- and White-Pool House custodians asked Ector County Commissioners for a refund.

The refund request was made under the premise that the  event wasn't handled correctly.

Commissioners said they couldn't give a refund, but they did allow the White Pool House to use Barn G of the Ector County Coliseum for a future fundraiser.

The White-Pool House isn't commenting on what their future plans might be -- or if they might have to close their doors.
