UPDATE: Midland Train Tragedy: How You Can Help

MIDLAND -- Here's a list of fundraisers and donations sites where you can help the victims and their families of the train tragedy. The train accident claimed the lives of 4 veterans and injured 17 other people in Midland on Thursday

- Western National Bank has set up a "Hunt For Heroes" account. Anyone contribute to the account at any Western National Bank location in Midland or Odessa.

- An account has been set up at Complex Community Federal Union for victims of the tragedy.


- Permian Basin Texas Roadhouse restaurants invite the public to a fundraiser to benefit family members of the victims of Thursday's tragic train derailment. The fundraiser will be held from 4 PM to 10 PM on Monday, November 19th at Texas Roadhouse locations in Midland (4512 W. Loop 250 North) and Odessa (4221 N. Grandview Avenue). The restaurant will donate 10 percent of all dinner sales and guest donations to the Complex Community Federal Credit Union Hunt for Heroes fund.

- Mr. Gatti's in Midland and Odessa will be holding a Fundraiser on Monday, November 19 from 5 PM to 9 PM. 15 percent of food sales will go to those in need.

- For the next two weeks, 15 percent of all tickets purchased to the upcoming January 5th Gregg Allman show will go to assist the veterans and their families. Tickets can be purchased at the Wagner Nol Performing Arts Center Box Office 12 PM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, online at wagnernoel.com or Etix 1-800-514-3849.  Greg Allman will perform on January 5th at 8pm


- Medical Spa of Midland & Family Care Clinic (4506 Briarwood Avenue, Midland) is taking donations Friday to help the victims. These wounded soldiers & their families need help with medical costs, food & lodging. Any amount will help! Medical Spa of Midland & Family Care Clinic is open from 8 AM to 5 PM on Friday.

- Music City Mall is accepting donations for victims of the tragedy

- KMID Big 2 will be accepting donations at Chick-Fil-A on East 42nd Street in Odessa starting at 11 AM Friday.

- Taco Villa at Midland Drive and Andrews Highway is accepting donations Friday to assist the victims of the tragedy.

- ICA Radio, My Country 96.1, Mix 106.7, KISS 103.3, Classic Rock 102 and KCRS are broadcasting live from the parking lot of Music City Mall in Odessa from 10 AM to 2 PM Friday and collecting donations for the families of victims of Thursday night's accident in Midland during the Hunt for Hero's Parade. Please stop by and help any way you can. Most families are not from the area and need help with transportation, food and other expenses.

- Permian Basin Carino's restaurants will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, November 18th to benefit victims of Thursday's fatal train crash in Midland. Carino's restaurants in Midland and Odessa will donate 15 percent of all sales to the victims and their families.


Many of the victims' family members have been displaced to this area to tend to their loved ones. These fundraisers are intended to support them during this very difficult time.
