City Of Odessa Honors Longtime Leaders Larry Melton, Jimmy Goates and Bill Cleaver

ODESSA -- Three Odessa city leaders who have combined to give more than 30 years of service to West Texas were honored in Odessa on Tuesday evening.

    The City of Odessa and the Odessa Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception honoring Odessa Mayor Larry Melton, Odessa City Councilman Jimmy Goates and Odessa City Councilman Bill Cleaver on Tuesday.

    All 3 men will be hanging up their hats at the end of the year.

    "We're honoring the time that they have given to the community, the citizens and the betterment of the community that they have done with projects," City of Odessa Secretary Norma Grimaldo told Big 2.

    Melton, Goates and Cleaver were unable to run for re-election in the 2012 election because of term limits.
