MIDLAND -- Wednesday is one of the busiest travel days on U.S. roads, because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Many people have the day off on Wednesday -- or can work a short day -- giving them time to head over to visit family and friends.

AAA says there will be a 0.7 percent increase in Thanksgiving travel this year.

In fact, 43 million Americans are projected to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday -- with 90 percent of them traveling by car.
