MIDLAND -- Texas Department of Public Safety officials continue to investigate a crash that injured a D.P.S. trooper.

D.P.S. officials tell Big 2 that a trooper was heading west on Interstate 20 in Midland around 1:30 AM on November 23rd when a Kia rear-ended his cruiser.

The trooper had a D.W.I. suspect in his vehicle at the time of the crash.

Both the D.W.I. suspect and the trooper were rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital after the crash.

Both were then treated and released from M.M.H.

Troopers say that driver of the Kia was a man from Monahans.

However, troopers haven't said if anyone will face any charges or citations for the crash.

The crash remained under investigation on Monday.
