ODESSA -- An Odessa man will spend the next two decades in a Texas prison, after he was convicted for a 2011 shooting that took the life of a teenager.

An Ector County jury found Steven Caesar Uresti guilty of manslaughter charges on Thursday.

Jurors then sentenced Uresti, 24, to 20 years in prison.

The jury also acquitted Uresti on murder charges Thursday.

Uresti opened fire into a crowd during a fight outside the Pussycat Lounge on May 21, 2011.

One of the bullets Uresti fired hit Martin Blea in the face.

Blea, 17, died in the shooting.

Uresti was on the run for several days before finally turning himself in to U.S. Marshals on May 26th.
