MIDLAND---The Miss Cayce's Christmas store in Midland is known for spreading holiday cheer, and this year they did a little more than just that.

The Christmas store donated a $5,000 tree covered in Christopher Radko ornaments for their first annual rumble raffle.

The lucky winner this year was Lyndee Latch, a local resident currently battling non small cell lung cancer.

"The trees are always my favorite part of Christmas and this is just a beautiful tree" says Latch "I couldn't have done this this year".

Latch was joined by her husband and daughter on Thursday afternoon, as co-owner of Miss Cayce's Christmas Store, Becky McCraney presented her with a special breast cancer ornament to place on her new tree.

Miss Cayce's Christmas store is always looking to give back to the community in every way they can.

"We have grown up here in Midland" says McCraney "we've been in business for 28 years".

It wasn't just about the tree though, the rumble raffle raised $18,000 for local charities in the area.

"We raised close to $5,000 just in ticket raffle sales" says Gifts of Hope Executive Director, Fatima Castillo.

President of Lee High School's A.F.J.R.O.T.C. Booster Club, Laurie Clark said they sold 333 tickets, which translated into $3,330.

Other organizations involved in the rumble raffle include:

-The Alzheimer's Association
-The American Diabetes Association
-The Bynum School
-Keep Midland Beautiful
-The Midland/Odessa Area AIDS Support
-The Odessa Humane Society
