Warm Start to the Weekend But A Cold Blast Headed Our Way, 12-7-12

Record breaking warmth Thursday will give way to temperatures into the 70s today and Saturday. 

A strong front will push south Sunday bringing with it gusty winds and much colder air.  Areas of blowing dust will be possible.  Temperatures Sunday into Monday will be cold enough to support flurries in southeast New Mexico and the northern Permian Basin however if we see any snow will depend on the amount of moisture in the atmosphere.

Monday will be cold with highs reaching in the 40s.  The chilly temperatures will continue next week.
