MIDLAND -- The CAF Museum kicked off its historically inspired holiday event Saturday. The weekend event is called "Christmas World War II Style". The event will be held every Saturday for the entire month of December.

Children will get an opportunity to check out World War II era plans, memorabilia and Christmas decorations.

Kids colored vintage Disney character "Gremlin" pictures to hang as tree ornaments.

On top of the ornaments, special scavenger hunts will be held every Saturday that will lead kids through the museum to find a hidden "Gremlin".

Once the hidden cartoon is found, the winner gets their own stuffed "Gremlin" and book that outlines the significance of the "Gremlin" cartoons during the war.
