Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash that killed Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown.

Another Dallas player, Josh Brent, was behind the wheel.

And some new statistics show that the deadly crash might indicate a bigger problem in professional football.

In an article asking if the NFL has a drinking problem, USA Today reports that since January 2000, N-F-L players have been arrested at least 624 times.

And of those, 177 of the arrests were on charges of driving under the influence.

According to USA Today, the NFL has used discipline and education to tackle the problem and have even offered chauffeur services to keep players from drinking and driving.
