MIDLAND -- Some Midland roads will be closed next week, as the investigation into the Midland train tragedy continues.

South Garfield Street, West Industrial Avenue and West Front Street will be closed near the Garfield Street railroad crossing starting at 9 AM on December 17th -- as lawyers for the victims inspect the railroad crossing where the November 15th crash took place.

Four military victims were killed and 17 other people were injured when a Union Pacific train crashed into a flatbed trailer.

The trailer was carrying 12 military veterans, their 12 wives and 2 escorts to a banquet at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena.

Lawyers representing victims of the tragedy are suing Union Pacific and Smith Industries -- who was operating the flatbed trailer -- for negligence.
