ALPINE -- Funeral services have been set for 2 people killed in a crash on a West Texas interstate earlier this week.

Funeral service for Robert Victorino Jr. and Maria Botello Victorino will be held on December 22nd at Grace Christian Fellowship in Alpine.

Robert Victorino, Jr., 18, and Maria Victorino, 41, were killed when a big rig rear-ended the 1989 Chevrolet Suburban they were riding in along Interstate 20 near Monahans around 12:15 AM on December 17th.

The driver of the Suburban -- 59-year-old Robert Victorino, Sr. -- was reportedly driving in reverse in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 to get to an exit ramp that he'd missed when the crash happened.

A memorial service was held for Robert Victorino, Jr. -- who was an Alpine High School student -- at Buck Stadium on the night of December 17th.
