More signs today of a stable, but slowly improving job market.

First time claims for unemployment rose slightly in the last week.

The Labor Department says jobless benefits increased by 17,000, to 361,000.

Claims have fallen sharply from early November, when Superstorm Sandy hit.

And the four week average of claims is now at a two month low.

In November, the unemployment rate was 7.7%... down from a high of 10% more than three years ago.

Still, more than 12 million people are out of work.
