OPD Searches For Driver Involved in Deadly Motorcycle Wreck

ODESSA -- Police are searching for the driver involved in a deadly motorcycle accident.

Here's the full press release from the Odessa Police Dept.:
Odessa Police and Fire were dispatched to a major accident at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Second Street at approximately 23:44 on Saturday, December 22.

An investigation revealed Rowland Ramirez Jr, date of birth 6-2-81, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Grant Avenue when he struck a maroon Ford pickup from behind.

Ramirez was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Ford pickup left the scene of the accident and police need help locating the maroon Ford pickup that sustained damage to either the back center or back rear of the vehicle; the pickup is also missing the right plastic bed rail.

If anyone has information as to the location of the Ford pickup they are encouraged to call Odessa Police at 432.333.3641.
