MIDLAND -- A community-produced show is back by popular demand.

The final dress rehearsal for Godspell  -- a musical based on the Gospel of Matthew -- was held Thursday night at the Yucca Theatre in Midland.

The production will benefit a West Texas non-profit organization.

The production originally took the stage for two shows this past summer, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Midland-Odessa Area A.I.D.S. Organization.

Organizers say community demand is bringing the show back the next 2 weekends.

"We have an amazing group of young, talented people preforming in the show," director Carl Moore told Big 2. "The message is great and the cause - M.A.A.S. - is the greatest thing we can do with the funds."

The cast for Godspell is young adults who are home for the holidays.

Godspell will take the stage on January 4-6 and January 11-13.

 Tickets are $15 for adults.
