Serious Issues Face Texas Legislature In 2013 Session

AUSTIN -- Texas lawmakers will be back to work in Austin on January 8th, as the 2013 session of the Texas Legislature kicks off.
Lawmakers will be looking at what to do to fund education in the Lone Star State.
The 2011 Texas Legislature cut $5.4 billion in funding to school districts in the Lone Star State.
Lawmakers will also decide which health programs to fund, following national healthcare reforms.
The legislature could also look into improving water and transportation infrastructure across Texas.
