MIDLAND -- A big rig wreck forces the closure of a major Midland highway.

The crash happened around 1:35 PM Wednesday at Loop 250 and "A" Street.

Midland Police say an 18-wheeler was heading east on Loop 250 when the driver lost control of the big rig, entered the median and hit a light pole just west of the "A" Street overpass.

No injuries were reported in the wreck, and Midland Police say that no citations will be written for the crash.

Midland Police had to close the westbound lanes of Loop 250 after the wreck, but the highway reopened around 3 PM Wednesday.
